Chávez expects to improve relations with the US
Even though President Hugo Chávez Tuesday branded US Senator John
McCain as a "warlord," he said he expects the relation between the
United States and Venezuela enters a higher level.
"We plan to improve and take the relation with the United States
Government to a higher level," said Chávez.
The Venezuelan head of State is hoping to establish a relation at least
similar to the one existing with former US President Bill Clinton,
because "there were dialogue and respect."
On the contrary, Chávez said that the current US President, George W.
Bush, has destroyed relations between his country and Latin America.
"The discredit of a US President has never been so widespread as
today," he added.
