What is a tiny country, which is a long way from Iraq, doing with 280 troops deployed there since 2003?, the daily wondered. The pro-government paper criticised Saca's remarks, who spoke highly of the presence of Salvadorian servicemen in Iraq. Iraq has proved to be uncontrollable, the journal stressed after recalling the deaths of five nationals in the Arab country. Besides regretting that El Salvador remains as the only Latin American nation with troops in Iraq in an obvious demonstration of its alliance with Washington, the daily also questioned Saca's views about the country's security and economy. Saca will leave the government amid two impossible wars to win: one in Iraq and the other in the Salvadorian streets. They are two wars which have defined his term of office, La Prensa Grafica concluded. iom rma tpa PL-13 * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
