Uruguayans Rap Bush Scheme for Cuba

Montevideo, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) The Coordinator of Support for the
Cuban Revolution expressed support of the island in this capital
Thursday after new threats announced by the Bush administration.

With a long friendship with Cuba, the Uruguayan organization issued a
statement after the aggressive Wednesday speech by President Bush in
the Department of State.

"The Coordinator expresses to the Uruguayan people, all Latin American
countries and the world its total solidarity with the Cuban government
and people in a moment that Bush's genocidal attacks grow," states the
document.

After recalling that the US statesman has also worsened the blockade,
the organization voiced confidence that the UN General Assembly will
condemn that measure on October 30 for the 16th consecutive year.

The "26 de Marzo" Movement issued a similar statement Wednesday, while
some days ago several political, social, union and student entities
repudiated the blockade.
