After the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held official talks in which they discussed the development of bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as exchanging their views on regional and international issues. Both Raul Castro and King Letsie III were accompanied by high level delegations, reported Granma newspaper. For Cuba were: Esteban Lazo Hernandez, vice president of the Council of State; Jose R. Balaguer Cabrera, minister of Public Health; Felipe Perez Roque, Foreign minister; Julio Christian Jimenez, president of INDER; Marcos Rodriguez Costa, deputy Foreign minister and Esther Armenteros Cardenas, Cuba's ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho.
