Bush discloses his real aims of forcibly reconquering Cuba, the island"s Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque stated. n a news conference in this capital Wednesday, the minister responded to the new US presidential plan to force a change of system in this country. "We tell Bush that the day to lift the blockade is coming," said the foreign minister, alluding the next UN vote on a resolution on the need to end the siege against Cuba, supported by an overwhelming majority year after year since 1992. The Cuban official also demanded Bush eliminate the prohibition of trips to the island, respect Cubans" right to independence and sovereignty, cease threats immediately, stop interfering in Cuba"s internal affairs and end subversive actions and the radio-TV war against this country. Bush "tried to incite the Cuban people, even the country's Armed Forces, to attempt a coup." Referring to a speech the US president gave in Washington on Wednesday, O Globo said that "besides reaffirming that the US will continue imposing its economic embargo as long as the current regime remains in power, he tried to incite the Cuban people, even the country's armed forces, to perpetrate a coup." The daily also referred to the response given by Cuba's Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque and his denunciation of Bush for incitement to violence.
