[Turkey has now entered Bush's World War of Terror, and things
are going to hell faster every day in Iraq, Afghanistan, spreading the
war to the nuclear-armed state of Pakistan, and even Cheney's
incredible (and thus unbelieved) lies about Iran are going nowhere, and
then there is the hapless Condi Rice, failing more every tiime she puts
her foot into the Middle East -- and even Russia, her "area of
expertise." 

So Bush has now decided to distract the US population with a new
"Coalition of the Spiteful" -- actually asking other nations to
contribute money to destabilizing and sabotaging the Cuban Revolution.
The anti-Blockade vote comes up shortly, on Oct 30. It's pathetic. 

Second item below deals with Mexico, which is being bribed to play
along with the war on Cuba and the war on immigrants with a $500
million "drug fighting" plan. We shall see what happens with them
on Oct 30th at the UN. Will they abstain, or will they just vote

Bush Obsessed with Cuba Collapse

Havana, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) Trying to destroy the Cuban Revolution
through the economic, financial, and commercial blockade and other
coercive measures has been an obsession for US President George W.
Bush.

The economic siege, officially established in 1963 and maintained for
ten US administrations, aims to make the Cuban people surrender by
hunger and diseases.

In views of the failure of those punitive measures, Bush decided to
approve a plan in May 2004 to speed up the destruction of the
constitutional order agreed by the Cuban people.

Only two months later, he reviewed the plan and added new measures to
toughen the blockade, something he has been doing frequently in the
last three years.

Today, and when the UN General Assembly is about to vote for the 16th
time on a Cuban resolution demanding the end of the blockade, Bush will
disclose new anti-Cuba measures.

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque recently told Prensa Latina
President Bush is obsessed with Cuba.

"He sees his mandate is coming to an end, and has been unable to make
Cuba surrender and get the results the mafia and Cuban ultra rightwing
in Miami were expecting," he sustained.

The October 30 vote at the UN General Assembly will corroborate whether
the international community supports the ever toughening US blockade,
or our right to be a free people, the minister stated.

Mexico Senator Bashes US Cuba Bully

Mexico, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) Mexican senator Maria de los Angeles
Moreno said Wednesday all nations must be opposed to the new anti-Cuban
measures announced by US President George W. Bush.

The legislator, from the "Partido Revolucionario Institucional," told
Prensa Latina that this is a replay of US arbitrariness and all
countries must oppose the blockade against Cuba, which distorts
international law.

"No country can impose unilateral sanctions to damage a people and I
think the UN must ratify its position against a blockade responsible
for enormous suffering of Cubans," stated Moreno.

"That position damages the UN, an organization that needs an in-depth
revision to foster peace and international respect, and when a
government acts against its voting it is infringing it on other member
countries," she said.
