[NYTr] New Bush Sanctions Will Be Met by Cuban Will: Perez Roque Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2007 16:31:11 -0500 (CDT) Via NY Transfer News Collective * All the News that Doesn't Fit Prensa Latina, Havana http://www.plenglish.com Bush Sanctions Will Crash against Cuban Will: FM Havana, Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque affirmed Sunday the new anti-Cuba sanctions announced by US President George W. Bush will once again come up against the people's determination to be free. Shortly after having cast his vote in the municipal elections, Perez Roque told Prensa Latina that on Wednesday, President Bush will announce new actions to tighten the nearly 50-decade-old economic blockade against the Island. But, he stressed, "plans and evil machinations to make the Cuban people surrender by hunger and diseases will plunge." The massive participation of the people in these elections, and the way the process has developed, even amid national and international difficulties, are a sign of the level of support for the Revolution, the minister stated. Similarly, he went on, it is an indicator of the people's commitment to rectify problems, and defend the work it has built. On October 30 at the UN, it will be demonstrated whether the international community supports the ever-tightened US blockade or our right to be a free country, Perez Roque asserted. ef dig ale PL-12 * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
