According to Organizing Committee President Abraham Maciques, the renting of areas for exhibition by foreign companies has increased by 13 percent over last year. Maciques noted that the increased number of foreign participants in the fair gives the island the opportunity to establish new joint-ventures and to have greater access to state-of-the-art technologies. The trade fair, which will be attended by representatives from the five continents, will be held in Cuba's largest exhibition center -ExpoCuba- located 25 kilometers southeast of Havana. The exhibition will cover an area of 3,000 square meters, with 320 national companies involved in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, biotechnology and others exhibiting their products. Just prior to FIHAV-2007, the Second Business Forum of the Non-Aligned Movement (NOAL) will take place on November 2-3 at Havana's Convention Center. That meeting will include several rounds of negotiations and four panels devoted to international commerce and to the World Trade Organization (WTO). * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
