Hugo Chavez Returns Home after Working Visit to Cuba

Havana, Oct 16 (acn) Cuba's First Vice President Raul Castro Ruz saw 
off Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias this Tuesday at Havana's 
International Airport, after a fruitful working visit which started on 
Saturday.

On his arrival in Havana, Chavez held a four hour telephone 
conversation with Cuban president Fidel Castro.

On Sunday, the Venezuelan President aired his TV and radio program "Alo 
Presidente" for the second time in Cuba, this week to pay tribute to 
Che Guevara from the city of Santa Clara, in the Cuban central province 
of Villa Clara.

A tour of the oil refinery in Cienfuegos followed on his agenda. Chavez 
pre-inaugurated this first phase of the Cuba- Venezuela project to 
process crude oil and which should be completed before the year end.

On Monday, Venezuela's President and Raul Castro presided over the 
signing of several cooperation agreements as part of the Bolivarian 
Alternative for the Americas project (ALBA). The number of bilateral 
accords now amounts to twenty one, nineteen of them for joint ventures 
in key economic sectors
