US Communist Party Issues Declaration in Solidarity with Cuban Five

Havana, Oct 4 (acn) The National Committee of the Communist Party in 
the United States has issued declaration in solidarity with the five 
Cuban anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States demanding 
their immediate release.

Thus, they join their voices to the worldwide movement for the 
liberation of Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, 
Ramon LabaC1ino and Rene Gonzalez, internationally known as the Cuban 
Five, who remain imprisoned in the United States nine years after they 
were detained for infiltrating terrorist anti-Cuba organizations based 
in Florida.

In their declaration, the members of the US Communist Party express 
their support for the cause of the Cuban Five noting that their example 
and their behavior reflect the achievements of the Cuban Revolution.

They also criticize the violations committed during the process against 
them and condemn the release of international and self-confessed 
terrorists Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch.

Finally, they make a call for unity and urge solidarity movements to 
design a strategy for the release of the Cuban heroes and to fight for 
social and economic justice around the world.
