Innovators Congress Takes Off

Havana, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) More than 300 delegates to the VI
Congress of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalists
(ANIR) repare to take part in the event that will be held in Havana s
EXPOCUBA fairgrounds today and tomorrow.

Jose Suarez Bravo, ANIR president, told the press that everything is
ready for the meeting after two Forums of Science and Technology where
innovators and rationalists presented important solutions to problems
of production and services.

He explained that this congress will analyze the work of the more than
400,000 members grouped in 22,000 base organizations in different
sectors of the economy.

Suarez Bravo informed that some of the subjects to be debated are the
role of its members in the defense of the country, economic development
of the nation and priority programs of the Revolution as well as energy
savings, especially using batteries.

A broad process of base assemblies and four national workshops were the
steps taken just before the congress. These covered subjects of
production, manufacturing spare parts, equipment maintenance and
incentive system, among others.
