[NYTr] Internationalists in Cuba to Mark 40th Anniversary of Che Guevara's Death Date: Tue, 2 Oct 2007 14:58:47 -0500 (CDT) Via NY Transfer News Collective * All the News that Doesn't Fit CubaNow - Oct 1, 2007 http://www.cubanow.net/global/loader.php?&secc=10&item=3433&c=2 International Contingent in Cuba to Mark 40th Anniversary of Che Guevara's Death in Combat By Violeta Barcos Cubanow.- Over 200 members of an international brigade will be in Cuba during the first half of October to participate in activities marking the 40 anniversary of the death in combat of Argentinean-Cuban guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara. The brigade was organized by Cubabs Friendship Institute (ICAP) and as part of the agenda in Cuba the visitors from 33 countries of the world will take part in agricultural and cultural activities. They will also visit places of historic interest and they will learn more about the case of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters held in US jails. The first brigade members arrived in Havana from Lebanon, Brazil, Japan, Turkey, Ireland, Spain, South Korea, Colombia, U.K., Ecuador, Honduras and Israel. Other visitors will come from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Canada, the U.S.A., Iran, Chile, Venezuela, Italy and Mexico. The brigade will be hosted by the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, where all international and solidarity contingents are housed during their stay on the island.
