Why Oppositionist Rosales' Spanish Contact Worries Venezuelans

Manuel Rosales' Spanish contact is of grave concern to Venezuelans.

Some, including Rosales himself and his supporters, would doubtless
accuse me of crying wolf on this issue ... exactly as the Spanish Air
Force insists that its "Operation Balboa" was merely a NATO exercise.

Some points to consider:

    1) Why did Rosales and the other opposition representatives contact
the Spanish Government? Why not the US, Canadian, Mexican ... or a
whole host of other governments represented in Caracas? Why go to the
government which authorized the "Operation Balboa" exercise?

    2) Consider the "Operation" itself: once again, here is the map:

Mere coincidence that the map clearly indicates a seizure of Zulia and
other oil-rich Venezuelan states?

Suppose the Venezuelan Defense Ministry were to stage "Operation
Aztlan," using the same parameters as "Operation Balboa," but with the
following map:

Just a coincidence that "Zona Roja" just happens to correspond to the
area seized from Mexico from the US, right?

Nothing for the US Government to be alarmed about, is there?

Pinches a little when the shoe's on the other foot ... and I hope this
illuminates the urgency of the situation of Rosales & Co. contacting
Spanish "diplomats."
