After a landslide in Ostacuan, two new 2,624-foot canals have been opened through four million cubic meters of earth and volcanic stone. The works should be finished, but the biggest danger could occur between December 10 and 15 if heavy rains begin and PeC1itas dam's sluice gate must be opened to release 5,000 cubic meters of water per second. Meanwhile Tabasco Gov. Andres Grainer complained to President Felipe Calderon that not even one cent of the promised 700 million dollars for reconstruction has been given to them. ef ccs abo jrr PL-38 * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
