Ibero-American summits work as a forum for comprehensive political dialog among Latin American countries, Spain and Portugal. On this occasion participants will focus on social cohesion and policies aimed at achieving more inclusive societies in Ibero-America. Social cohesion, as the major issue of the Ibero-American Summit, is linked to social problems facing Latin American nations, said Cuban deputy foreign minister Abelardo Moreno in Santiago de Chile. Moreno, who is also Cuba's coordinator for the meeting, said there are prevailing necessities to meet in the nations of the region, particularly in the fields of health care, education, employment and social security, among others. The Cuban deputy foreign minister said that following the preparation of the agenda by a meeting of experts, the foreign ministers from all participating countries will hold discussions on Thursday at the Ibero-American City, a locality in the outskirts of the capital Santiago de Chile, where the heads of state and government will also carry out their dialog on Friday and Saturday. * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
