Chavez Announces Dec ALBA Summit in Venezuela

Caracas, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela will host a Head of
States Summit of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas this
month, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced Thursday.

During a speech given at the graduation of students from Mali
and Bolivia, the president announced the event will happen "within a
few days," although he was not more definite than that.

Chavez said that both Presidents Evo Morales (Bolivia) and Daniel
Ortega (Nicaragua) will be there, as will a representative from Cuba.

At the end of November, the ALBA Ministers Council met in Havana, Cuba,
where it was agreed to hold the sixth Summit of Head of States in
Managua in December.

The initiative of cooperation counts with the participation of
Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Cuba.
