Breaking: Venezuela Hands Narrow Defeat to Chavez Plan 03 Dec 2007
Voters in Venezuela defeated a contentious referendum that would
have given President Hugo Chavez sweeping new powers, the Election
Commission announced early Monday. Through the night supporters and
critics of the president pointed to exit polls in their favor,
