Vietnam and Cuba Strengthen Ties

Havana, September 26 (acn) Representatives from the Vietnam Homeland
Front and Cuba's Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (CDR)
agreed this September 25 on increasing cooperation and solidarity
between the communist parties and peoples of both countries.

The meeting, held at the CDR headquarters in Havana, was presided over
by Le Minh Hien, vice-President and member of the permanent commission
of the Central Committee of Vietnam Homeland Front, and Juan Jose
Rabilero, head of the CDR.

Both delegations discussed a project focused on education, propaganda,
and exchange between Cuban and Vietnamese delegations.

Minh Hien ratified the unbreakable bonds of friendship based on historic
acts of solidarity between his nation and the Caribbean island, which
established diplomatic relations on December 2, 1960.

Rabilero spoke about current CDR missions and projects, and reiterated
the organization's support of the struggle against terrorism and the US
blockade against Cuba.
