Interviewed Tuesday on national television, Salanueva said that country had planned how to repress those men much before their detention for informing the island of terrorist plans organized by anti-Cuban groups in Miami. During this period, neither she nor Perez could have seen their husbands, Rene Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez, respectively, prosecuted along with Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon LabaC1ino and Antonio Guerrero. The US government recently denied again the two wives visas to visit them, violating their right as prisoners. Salanueva questioned how it could be possible to be accused by Washington of being linked with alleged spying activities during her stay in US territory. Adriana, she explained, she has never lived in United States, so it is ridiculous to have those charges against her. Lawyer Roberto Gonzalez indicated that the heroic action of those five Cubans is in having refused to declare themselves guilty in exchange for reducing their sentences and involving the Cuban government in a case of spying. *** Earlier report with new mailing address "Cuban 5 Prisoner Transferred from Wisconsin to Indiana" 9/16/07 https://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/Week-of-Mon-20070910/068534.html One of Cuban Five Transferred Washington, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuban anti-terrorist Fernando Gonzalez was taken from Waseca Prison in Minnesota to Terre Haute, Indiana, denounced Free the Five International Committee on Wednesday. Gonzalez, one of the five Cuban anti-terrorists imprisoned in the United States, was sentenced to 19 years for infiltrating Miami-based anti-Cuba organizations to prevent violence against the Island. Along with Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon LabaC1ino, Rene Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero, Fernando was arrested September 12, 1998. They were held in a prison in Miami until January 2002 when they were purposely split up to prisons across the US to serve from 15 years to double life sentences. At the time of his arrest, Fernando's mission was to watch international terrorist Orlando Bosch, one of the brains behind the mid-flight blast of a Cuban civilian plane in 1976 with 73 people aboard. At the August 20 hearing before the 11th Circuit of the Atlanta Appellate Court, the defense presented proof of the case's political bias and contended Cause No.3 against Hernandez, conspiracy to commit murder. hr ccs emw et PL-42 * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
