Ecuador Makes Its Own Socialism

Quito, Sept 15 (Prensa Latina) The 21st century socialism being
promoted by the Ecuadorian government gives priority to justice and
social equality and "is no copy of any other system," affirmed
Government minister, Gustavo Larrea.

He explained that it was specific to Ecuador, without copying anything
"because that is what has been done with several social models that
have failed."

"We are all an authentic force prepared to transform Ecuador, and we
will copy no formula that comes from outside. There is no model for
21st century socialism," the official added in his declaration to the
radio.

He concluded that the model gives priority to justice and social
equality and allows a better distribution of the nation's wealth to
create a fairer society.
