Manuel Martinez, director of the National Children and Family Institute (INNFA), said authorities already negotiating with those mothers to improve their standard of living. The children, whose numbers he did not specify, range in age from 1 to 15. Martinez said the project also involves a personalized health care, education, recreation, housing and nutrition plan. If the child stays with relatives there will be $100 monthly for staples, plus transportation, clothing and medication. The program involves the Ministry for Social and Economic Inclusion, the INNFA and Vice President Lenin Moreno Garces. A second program with the governments of Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Tungurahua, Bolivar and Imbabura Provinces, mostly of indigenous people, will target child trafficking and child labor. The goal is to raise awareness to prevent support to mendicancy, and to foster education, health and labor programs plus family and child support. Nearly 5,000 children will start this program to run on an annual budget of $1 million. ef ccs emw lgo * ================================================================= .NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems .
