The head of government and leader of the People's National Party remarked that the difference is so narrow - 31 to 29 - that she cannot accept defeat until the votes are counted again, an activity that could last up to three days. Simpson-Miller stressed that there were too many irregularities, which call into question the results, and noted that two JLP candidates have US nationality, something that prohibits them from serving as legislators, according to the Constitution. Electoral Committee Director Danville Walker promised they would proceed to recount the votes. The final count gave 31 seats to the JLP, and 29 to PNP, the government party until that moment. ef ccs iom tpa * ================================================================= .NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems .
