Colombian and Peruvian Ministers to Hold Border Meeting

Lima, Aug 31 (Prensa Latina) Defense Minister Allan Wagner (Peru) and
Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia) will meet next weekend in the city of El
Estrecho, on the Peruvian side of the two countries' Amazonian border.

Wagner's office said that the minister would be accompanied by
colleagues and representatives of several ministries.

The source added that the ministers would set up a Binational Border
Commission for security cooperation between the two governments.

Wagner and Santos will preside over a binational campaign on medical
and social care for the residents of bordering towns on either bank of
the Putumayo River.
