Latin American Writers Pay Tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara

Havana, August 17 (acn) Writers from Cuba, Chile and Bolivia paid 
tribute to legendary guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara at the 12th 
International Book Fair, taking place in Bolivia.

Cuban historian Adys Cupull praised Che Guevara's sensitivity to the 
problems of Latin America and called upon the next generation to read 
the Bolivian diary of Ernesto Che Guevara, report PL news agency.

Likewise, Cuban historian Froilan Gonzalez stressed the importance of 
the concept of unity defended by Guevara throughout his life.

Bolivian researcher and journalist Carlos Soria announced the 
publication of several works on Che Guevara in his country on the 
occasion of the 40th anniversary of his assassination.

For his part, Bolivian poet Ramiro Barrenechea said he is preparing an 
anthology that reflects the influence of Che Guevara on Bolivia's 
poetry, while Chilean writer Martin Faunes highlighted the imprint of 
Che Guevara in the Cuban revolution.
