Venez Authorities Seek Kidnapped Kids

Caracas, Aug 14 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan security are following
several clues in their search Tuesday for three children and an adult
kidnapped in Tachira State.

Gen. Jaime Escalante, chief of Regional Command One, told Venezolana de
Television that contacts have been made with specialized Colombian
institutions and it was established that the victims are in Venezuelan
national territory.

Escalante informed that Armed Forces personnel, the National Guard and
security organizations are involved in the hunt.

The children, ages 10, 12 and 13, were with an adult relative when
their vehicle was intercepted on its way to San Cristobal, Tachira.

Two of the kidnapped children live in Spain and are in Venezuela for
vacation.
