Fidel Castro Warns of Threat to Humanity

Havana, Aug 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Fidel Castro warned today
about vital problems threatening humankind more than ever.

Technological advances show the possibility of manipulating functions
in human brain cells. What will this serve for in a world where the
commercial value of goods and services prevails? Which authority will
determine this?, questions Fidel Castro in an article published today.

In that sense and through the unashamed brain robbery, phenomenon in
which we must insist at all cost, they could destroy the most valuable
thing in a human being, his education through conscience, he added.

Life-saving medicines can come out of a lab, something socially very
valuable if such a product can be available to all. But from labs are
also coming all types of weapons that can put an end to human life,
warned the Cuban leader.

Commercial ads and consumerism oppose the survival of the species. Make

resources, space, the climate, time and the system the way they are
