Latin American-Caribbean Brigade Meets With Cuban 5 Relatives

Havana, August 2 (acn) Members of the 14th Contingent of the Latin 
American and Caribbean Brigade of Volunteer Workers visiting Cuba met 
this Wednesday with relatives of the Cuban five young anti-terrorist 
fighters unjustly incarcerated in US jails.

The encounter took place at the International Julio Antonio Mella Camp 
in the municipality of Caimito, Havana, with the participation of 
Magali LLort, mother of Fernando GonzC!lez, Irma Sehwerert, mother of 
RenC) GonzC!lez, as well as Holmes LabaC1ino, father of RamC3n LabaC1ino.

The "brigadistas" gave examples of Cuba's solidarity with their 10 
nations.  A reference was made to the Venezuelan proposal to award 
Gerardo HernC!ndez, RenC) GonzC!lez, RamC3n LabaC1ino, Fernando GonzC!lez and 
Antonio Guerrero - internationally known as the Cuban Five - the SimC3n 
BolC-var Order.

Members of India's first delegation talked about the campaign underway 
in their country to let the people know about the case of the Cuban 
Five, which will be eventually extended to other Asian nations.

Attorney Roberto Gonzalez, brother of RenC) GonzC!lez, explained th 
latest judicial happenings on the case, and recalled that next 
September 12 will be the ninth anniversary of since their incarceration.

The intentions to turn this into a never ending process in the Courts 
of Appeals were also criticized by the lawyer, who called for a wider 
international support to put an end to these evil intentions. "The 
American people should be aware of every true detail, so that they join 
the fight within the monster itself," he added.
