Vietnamese Social Scientist Begins Official Working Visit to Cuba

Havana, July 16 (acn) The president of Viet Nam's Institute of Social 
Sciences, Do Hoai Nam, begins on Monday a program of exchange 
activities in Havana with his Cuban counterparts and experts on 
humanistic sciences.

Hoai Nam and his accompanying delegation are to be received on Monday 
by Fernando GonzC!lez, First Vice Minister of Science, Technology and 
the Environment at the venue of this ministry in the Capitol of Havana.

After the meeting, they will pay tribute to independence heroes Ho Chi 
Minh and JosC) MartC- by placing floral wreaths in front of statues of 
both leaders in Havana and will attend the 2nd Workshop on Social 
Sciences.

During his visit to the island, which will conclude next Friday, the 
visitors will visit Old Havana and its System of Colonial 
Fortifications, recognized in 1982 by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage 
sites.

Hoai Nam is a member of the Central Committee of Viet Nam's Communist 
party and also member of the Vietnamese Parliament.
