Cuban Communist Party Delegation Visiting Angola

Havana, Jul 5 (acn) A member of the Secretariat of the Cuban Communist 
Party Central Committee Fernando Remirez de Estenoz said the fact that 
Cuba and Angola are working to strengthen ties amidst the current 
international situation is very positive.

The Cuban official, pointed out that both countries' willingness to 
foster relations, is an expression of the traditional friendship bonds 
linking Cuba and the African nation. He said his visit to Luanda is a 
new step towards strengthening ties between the governments and parties.

Remirez de Estenoz, also head of the PCC's International Relations 
Department, is heading a Party delegation on a working visit. The group 
was welcomed by Paulo Teixeira Jorge, member of the Political Bureau of 
the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (PMLA), according to 
a PL's report.

Meetings with PMLA members and with Angola's parliament deputies are 
included in the Cuban delegation's program. They will also meet with 
representatives of the local governments of the provinces of Benguela 
and Kwanza Sur.
