Few Women Executives in Mexico

Mexico, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) Although Mexican women have the necessary
intellectual capacity, only a small percentage of them reach high
management; 80 percent of the executive posts in Mexican enterprises
are occupied by men, and 20 percent by women.

These figures were released Thursday by Jorge Ferrari, president of the
Mexican "Great Place to Work" Institute that compiles and shares data
and experience on working conditions in Mexico.

He said that of the 20 best Mexican enterprises for working women, only
one is in the public sector.

Among 300 companies, Ferrari said, just five classified as the best
firms with good working conditions: American Express Mexico, Harbin
Meritor, Banamex Seguros, Banco Compartamos and CompuSoluciones.
