Venezuela Secures Clear Reform Vote

Caracas, Oct 31 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's National Electoral Council
(CNE) affirmed Wednesday it will guarantee a clear process for the
referendum on the constitutional reform, scheduled for early December.

CNE president Tibisay Lucena pointed out "nothing will thwart a clear,
truly reliable process in the popular consultation."

In statements for the "En Confianza" TV program, the official said audit
procedures have been reinforced, and efforts are being made
to hold three or four debates between representatives of organizations
that support, and those that oppose, the proposed constitutional
reform.

Lucena added the project, already approved by the legislative body, is
expected to be presented on Friday, when the campaign will begin.

Referring to it, the CNC president noted that most important is to
widely spread the contents of the constitutional changes among
the population.
