According to provincial health director Vita Vemba, the work of the Cuban specialists has also contributed to mitigating the situation of jam-packed hospitals in Luanda. Vemba also stressed that the levels of primary attention have considerably increased in the outlying municipalities of Cacuaco, Sambiazanga, Viana, Samba, Kilambi Kilaxi and Cazenga since the arrival of the Cuban physicians on July 5. The Angolan official noted that many patients from those municipalities previously had to go to the capital's hospitals to receive specialized attention. He added that panorama has changed thanks to the assistance from Cuban general practitioners, anesthesiologists, podiatrists, obstetricians and surgeons serving in Luanda. The Cuban medical delegation in Angola is responding to a healthcare agreement recently signed between Luanda and Havana. * ================================================================ .NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems .
