Cuban Medical Brigade Arrived in Algeria

Havana, Jul 16 (acn) More than 120 Cuban doctors arrived Sunday in the 
capital of Algeria to to offer much needed medical services in 
Algeria's far-flung regions, which lack sufficient basic health 
facilities.

The 126 doctors will be providing health assistance in the framework of 
a cooperation agreement signed between the countries' ministries of 
health, according to the Algerian daily La Tribune.

They will be working in the southern and Haut Plateau districts of teh 
country, where they are expected to provide support services for mother 
and child health program.

The Cuban doctors are notably specialized in the fields of pediatrics, 
ophthalmology, gyneco-obstetrics, anaesthesia and general surgery.
