According to the Borge and Associates Co. the aspirant for the Patriotic Party has 39.8 percent of votes for the runoff election, while the contender for the National Unity of Hope has 37.3 percent. The survey states that Perez Molina is still the favorite in the central region of Guatemala, including the capital, and has achieved an outstanding upturn in the west, where Colom won a good advantage in the first round of the September 9 elections. The retired general is also favorite in the eastern part of the country, although he is down in the Pacific Strip and the North, where the Alta Veracruz department, one of the districts with larger voters after the capital, is located. Guatemalans will vote again on November 4 to elect the future president, who will rule the country during the 2008-2012 period. ef iff car amg mf * ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us Our main website: http://www.blythe.org List Archives: http://blythe-systems.com/pipermail/nytr/ Subscribe: http://blythe-systems.com/mailman/listinfo/nytr =================================================================
