Morales criticized a report presented by the US National Intelligence Directorate to Congress in which it questions Boliviabs democracy. Speaking at a press conference, Morales also noted that the report points to him and his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez as taking advantage of their popularity to undermine the opposition. However, Morales said the eroding support of groups opposed to his government is because the majority of the people identify with the process of change and are aware that neoliberalism was not the solution for Latin America and much less for Bolivia. Democracy is also the setting up of a constituent assembly or the holding of an autonomous referendum, he said, referring to events under his government. The president said that Bolivian democracy is liberating and not subjugated to the United States Empire. Morales added that the hegemonic policies of the US are reaching their end in South America and other parts of the world. * ================================================================ .NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems .
