The Head of State is accompanied by a delegation of ministers and other government officials. King Letsie III will hold talks with Cuba's First Vice President Raul Castro Ruz. Meeting other high ranking officials and touring sites of interest are also part of his agenda closing on Friday. The Lesotho delegation is made up by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Sephiri Enoch Motanyane; Foreign Minister Mohlabi Kenneth Tsekoa,; Minister for Environment, Gender and Youth Affairs Mathabiso Angelina Lepono; Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dr. Mphu Keneiloe Ramatlapeng; and Lesotho ambassador in Cuba Motseoa Senyane. The Kingdom of Lesotho is a land-locked country, entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. Formerly Basutoland, it is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. Lesotho has a population of approximately 2.3 million, 19 percent urban and 81 percent rural. To date, 70 students from Lesotho have graduated in Cuban universities and a group of 23 currently attend courses.
