During the meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, they will discuss aspects relating to the Iberoamerican Community, which is comprised of 19 Latin American and Caribbean countries plus Spain, Portugal and Andorra. Iglesias, who is visiting the island for the second time since he assumed the post, is accompanied by Fernando Garcia Casas, deputy chief of Cabinet of the Iberoamerican General Secretariat (SEGIB). The 17th Iberoamerican Summit of Heads of State and Government will take place in Chile from November 8-10 and its main theme will be "Social cohesion and social policies to achieve more inclusive Iberoamerican societies." The SEGIB was created during the 13th Iberoamerican Summit in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in 2003, as an instrument of institutional and technical support for these regional meetings and it promotes multilateral cooperation in the cultural, scientific and education fields.
