Santana Passes Away Havana, Dec. 22(RHC)-Renowned Cuban journalist and writer JoaquC-n G. Santana died on Friday in Havana of a heart attack at the age of 69. Santana took part in the revolutionary struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. He remained faithful to the Cuban Revolution and its principles. The prestigious intellectual collaborated closely with Cuban National Poet NicolC!s GuillC)n, whom he accompanied in several tours around the world. SantanaB4s vast work includes novels, short stories, commentaries on the most diverse subjects related to Cuba and the rest of the world and news articles. Prior to his retirement just a few months ago, he was a journalist for Radio Havana Cuba, where his works had tremendous international impact. He collaborated also with several other Cuban news agencies. JoaquC-n G.
