Bush's Statements Against Cuba Criticized by Daniel Ortega

Havana, Oct 24(acn) "Instead of talking about the wildfires in Los 
Angeles..., President Bush is ready to keep burning the Cuban people", 
said Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega in Managua.

Ortega referred to Bush's intentions of addressing the diplomatic corps 
in Washington to announce new measures against Cuba, "We are addressing 
the diplomatic corps in Nicaragua to deliver news about the tragic 
situation facing the country for the past 52 days and ask for 
international solidarity, while Bush is calling diplomats to deliver 
bad news to the Cuban people."

The sandinista leader addressed Cuban ambassador Luis Hernandez, and 
asked him to pass a "message of solidarity from the Nicaraguan people 
to President Fidel Castro and the brave Cuban people."
