They will appear at 8 p.m. at the Happy Days Visitor Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area. That's off state Route 303 east of Peninsula in Boston Heights. Grandmother Coyote of the Seneca and Comanche nations shares stories about the harvest and the winter hunt. Bruchac, who has studied Abenaki Indian music, language and folklore with elders in both the Odanak and Swanton communities, will perform using traditional and contemporary instruments. That includes acoustic guitar, flute, rattle and drum. The show, part of the Cuyahoga Valley Heritage Series, is being sponsored by the National Park Service, the Cuyahoga Valley Association, the Native American Indian Cultural Center and the Western Reserve Association for the Preservation and Perpetuation of Storytelling. Today Senior hike -- Naturalist Gretchen Motts of Metro Parks, Serving Summit County, will lead a leisurely two-mile hike at the Seiberling Naturealm, 1828 Smith Road, Akron. Friday Poems onstage -- The Poets League of Greater Cleveland and the CVNRA Nature Writers Workshop are sponsoring the dramatic readings of nature poems. Earthletters: a Celebration of Nature will feature original poems and short prose. The show will star Dorothy and Reuben Silver. It will be directed by Bonnie Jacobson. Admission is $5.
