But the first Senate vote this week failed to win the 60 votes necessary to overcome a filibuster and was laid aside. We at FCNL will continue to work to persuade the Senate to attach legislation to the military authorization bill that would turn the recommendations of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group into law.
