Dear Roger,

We continue to battle the Canadian government and showcase their insistence on supporting the horrific annual seal slaughter.  They may have confiscated our trusty ship, the Farley Mowat, but that's not stopping us from opposing them in the courts and in the media. As the European Union makes its final decision on whether to ban all imports of seal pelts (we sincerely hope that they do), I will be traveling to Europe to speak out against this atrocity and meet with our supporters there. We will continue to make waves around the world this summer as we fight to defend our oceans.
Sea Shepherd sets conditions for the the release of the Farley Mowat

Farley MowatIn Sea Shepherd's opinion, when armed men steal property at gunpoint after boarding a ship at sea in international waters, such an act can be legitimately defined as piracy. Sea Shepherd demands the release of the Farley Mowat from Canadian officials under certain conditions.

Candles for a CauseJust in time for Mother's Day this Sunday, Sea Shepherd is pleased to announce a new collaboration with LA-based vegan candlemaker, A Scent of Scandle. Supporters can enjoy one of the new "Candles for a Cause," with an ocean-scented "Rock the Boat" candle, and know that 15% of the proceeds go directly to supporting Sea Shepherd's efforts in ocean conservation.

Our ship has been seized and our volunteer crewmembers have been deported for documenting and witnessing the brutal seal slaughter. The seals, however, are still being killed. With your support, we are able to continue exposing this crisis both in the press and in the legal arena. I thank-you for helping to make our seal defense efforts possible.
