MEDIA-UAE: ‘The National’ launched in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, Apr. 17 (WAM) - ‘The National’, the new United Arab Emirates
(UAE) quality English language newspaper, will be available for the first
time today.

General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi,
Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi
Executive Council, graced the gala event staged held yesterday at the
Emirates Palace by Abu Dhabi Media Company, the diversified entertainment
and media conglomerate, to launch the new newspaper. 

   Sheikh Mohammed unveiled the e-front page of the paper amid cheers and
applause of the audience. ‘The National’ will join its sisters ‘Gulf
News’, ‘The Gulf Today’, ‘Khaleej Times’ and ‘Emirates Business 24/7’ in
reporting the cultural, educational and social events in the local front
with an eye on latest international and regional developments. (WAM)
