Friends,

Since my last posting, I've been working day and night on the new blog, "How We the People can change the world". It's about 12 pages, which is long for a blog posting, but it presents all the essential ideas in my book, so in that sense it is very concise. I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out, but I'm sure it can be improved. I hope you'll take a look and comment. Anyone can add comments on the blog, you don't need to be registered with Blogger. I've included lots of links and references, and I'm open to suggestions for additional ones. The URL:

lean, mean information hubs are something I have extolled to friends for years. None have acted on it. Bravo to you. We have no time to chew the fat. Uninformed people need a clear global perspective, a ride to the top of the mountain if they are going to see the forces arrayed against them on the war plane below.

Hi Bo,

Well said! People are inundated with facts and proposals about this and that issue. The 'better informed' you are, the more confusing things can get. What people need is a gestalt that ties things together, makes sense, and offers hope. My goal is to make such a gestalt as accessible as possible. This blog is about the best I can do by means of prose. I'm hoping to do better using film. I'd also love to hook up with a cartoonist and collaborate on a cartoon version as well. That's a very powerful medium.

cheers,

I just came from your site, Tried to leave a comment but comments are limited only to people with google accounts. Not  as democratic as I would imagine you wish it to be.

Hi Richard,

congrats on your new website, will look at it and give you feedback when I can.
Speaking of self-governance, have you come across Michel Bauwens' work on P2P networks?
you may want to check out the following link:

Hi Rosa,

I'm glad you deferred going to the blog, as it is now more deserving of your attention.

Bauwen's stuff is very interesting, thanks. He explains very well, in his rational French way, the dynamics of peer-to-peer and how that compares to other models of exchange & production. Peer-to-peer is a valuable economic model that is playing an increasingly important part in society today, and could be an important component of exchange in a transformed society. It is in this latter context that I find it most promising.

nice to hear from you,
rkm

Have you seen this movie?

Hi Jeff,

Yes, and I've mentioned Zeitgeist on list before, but thanks for bringing it up again. It is awesome. I don't particularly like the opening however, what they call the 'Overture'.  I still recommend the older site, that has the three parts as separate videos, without the Overture:
