Hottest Year Revisionsits Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2007 14:44:52 -0500 (CDT) Today I heard one of the neo-con radio talk-show hosts, Dennis Prager, talking about some updated NASA stats on the hottest year. If we can believe that site it directs you to The years 1932 & 1931 do come out as hot - "5 year average" years - and 1931 & 1934 are extremely hot, but the couple of years before and between are quite cold. Still, the site's total picture shows clearly that the rise in air temperature has been constantly rising since 1997, excepting only 2004. The title of their site is also specific to the 48 continental US states, not the planet - "Contiguous 48 U.S. Surface Air Temperature Anomaly". This may be a hoax site because I started by doing a google search of NASA + Hottest Year. and I got many hits from last year, and before, but nothing from 2007. That alone is odd, since it is a hot topic. Also, doing various searches within the NASA site I didn't find the link that I found by going to the talk-show host's site. Overall, the earth's temperature is rising fast, and they are finding a specific anomaly in the early '30s, and heralding it as refutation of the big picture. We have not had a below average temperature year since 1998, excepting 2004, and in looking at the site, it is possible that a zero means average, not .50. If that is the case, then we haven't had many average years since 1976. Feel free to send this info on to your list.
