Boyle - June 24, 2007 My appearance was during their Prime Time Evening Report starting at 7 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. I went on right after the lead story of Tony Blair possibly becoming an Envoy for the Quartet. I had about 3 minutes of questions. The basic points I chose to make were as follows: 1. I appealed to President Abbas to step back from the brink of civil war. 2. I stated that the upcoming "peace" conference was a publicity stunt. 3. I encouraged Fatah and Hamas to return to the Government of National Unity (which was originally called for several years ago by my long-time client and friend Dr. Haidar Abdul Shaffi) 4. I encouraged the Arab States not to choose sides between Fatah and Hamas, but instead to promote the Government of National Unity. 5. I concluded that the Government of National Unity must come up with a program to resist illegal Israeli military occupation policies. fab
