E-News: Conversations, Energy Legislation and More Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2007 16:13:50 -0500 (CDT) E-News: Conversations, Energy Legislation, and More June 19, 2007 From FCNL: Where We Draw Our Strength At FCNL we try to talk with--and listen to--everyone, including people with whom we don't expect to agree. Iraq: The Senate Should Focus on Changing Policy The Senate has scheduled a new series of Iraq war votes for next week during floor debate on the 2008 military authorization bill. We at FCNL are greatly distressed that senators from both major political parties will focus on largely symbolic votes while refusing to embrace a bipartisan opportunity to make a real change in Iraq policy that the administration would be unable to ignore: http://capwiz.com/fconl/utr/1/IJAJHHZAQR/EQLVHHZKVB/1259964701. Iraq: More Letters Written All the Time We are 62 percent toward making our goal of increasing the number of people sending messages to Congress on Iraq by 50 percent before July 4. Help us get the rest of the way there. Let your members of Congress know how you feel about the war: http://capwiz.com/fconl/utr/1/IJAJHHZAQR/EHIVHHZKVC/1259964701.
