Cuban Internet Hosts Online Forum on the Cuban Five 

Havana, Jun 12 (acn) With the objective of spreading the truth about
five anti-terrorist Cubans unfairly jailed in the US, the website
http://foro.cubava.cu opened an online discussion this Tuesday on the
topic.

"The Five," as the international solidarity movement in support of their
cause has called the men, have been locked up for nearly nine years for
having warned Cuba of terrorist activities organized from America soil.

The family members of Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labanino, Gerardo
Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez will be available online
to answer any questions and respond to comments of those who want to
learn more about the unfair judicial process held against the men.

Detailed information will be provided about the men, who were arrested,
tried and sentenced to sentences of up to two life terms for trying to
prevent and frustrate actions planned and conducted by Miami-based
anti-Cuba groups.

Organizers of the forum said the Five's relatives will also talk about
the harm caused to them over the last nine years.

The online forum was organized to take place midway between June 8 and
20, since that was the time in which the Five were judged guilty in a
biased trial held in Miami. Immediately after that, the Cuban people
began to wage a mass campaign for their liberation.

The discussion forum is one of the main initiatives of the Youth
Computer Clubs, marking the 20th anniversary of their creation as a
government-led program aimed at extending new information and
communications technologies.
