June 10 1998 (UPI) - During a G8 (the world`s
seven largest industrialized democracies and Russia)
conference in London US Secretary of State Madelaine Albright
warned for a nuclear war between India and Pakistan telling
that also a small attack would kill millions of people.
Further she demanded stronger observations of shoulder-fired
missiles.

composed by the nations of Ireland
New Zealand
Sweden
South
Africa
Brazil
Egypt
Mexico and Slovenia has been published.
The nations are calling for a worldwide abolition of nuclear
weapons.
The statement was mainly addressed to the 5 nuclear powers as
well as India
Pakistan and Israel.
It will be presented to U.N. for approval at a later date.


CHICAGO  June 10 (Reuters) - The Bulletin of the Atomic
Scientist which figures the "Doomsday Clock" on its cover will
reset the hands of the clock because of the Indian and
Pakistani nuclear tests.
The "Doomsday clock" shows the dangers of nuclear war.
It hadn`t been resetted since 1995 when its hands were moved
to 14 minutes to the midnight hour which means nuclear
holocaust.


WASHINGTON
June 10 (UPI) - During the first International
Conference on the Environmental Consequences of War former
President of the Soviet Union  Mikhail Gorbachev urged the
United States and Russia to seriously begin with the
disarmament of their fission and fusion weapon stockpiles.


NEW DELHI June 10 (Reuters) - India has composed a statement
of disarmament proposals. It is calling the G8 to give
positive reaction on this proposals.


CHICAGO
June 9 1998 (Reuters) - Northern States Power Co
(NSP) filed a $1 billion lawsuit against the Department of
Energy. The Department was accused to have broken a contract
to accept spent nuclear fuel of several nuclear power
facilities from on the begin of this year.
NSP said that they won`t held a lawsuit which would probably
last two or three years.
