June 6 `98 (Reuters) - During an emergency
conference in Geneva a resolution to condemn the Indian and
Pakistani nuclear tests was approved by the UN Security
Council.
As reaction Pakistan told that there would be a real danger of
nuclear war in South Asia claiming that the world would have
done nothing to prevent nuclear proliferation in this zone.

During the conference countries as Canada
Irak and Egypt also
focused on the responsibility  nuclear powers have to diminish
the worldwide nuclear weapons proliferation.



MOSCOW
June 6 1998 (Reuters) - On Saturday the Russian
President Boris Yeltsin called the Indian Prime Minister
Behari Vajpayee to urge India signing the global treaty on
non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

celebrations of the 100th anniversery of RWE AG
a German
electricity facility
German Chancellor  Helmut Kohl
criticised German electricity facilities because of their
concealment of contamination measured on containers
transporting nuclear waste.
RWE chief admitted errors made by the utilities and promised
improvement.



TOKYO
June 5 1998 (UPI) - Japan today made the proposal to
initiate a meeting of non-nuclear countries wich have the
possibility to develop an atomic bomb.
The meeting should lead to more pressure on nuclear powers to
work towards disarmament.



MAURA REYNOLDS  MOSCOW June 7 (AP) -- Gen. Eugene Habiger

head of the US Strategic Command finished his second tour to
Russia to inspect the security of Russia`s nuclear weapons
arsenal.
Comming back he told that safety measures there were on a high
level.
